How much are you supposed to use?

I followed the directions but applied it just to my Gypsie Cob's white legs and feathers, as you apply it dry I used nearly the entire bottle,? I have done something wrong? They were a little cleaner at the end of the process.

I had no issues with my product the only problem I had after spending time washing my 16.3hh Gypsy Cob was him pooing on his tail just before going into my lead event at a show
